One of the oldest parishes in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, Holy Savior was founded on February 21, 1850.  The school was opened in 1879.  In its 150 year history, the parish has had 9 native Priests ordained and fifteen religious Brother and Sisters.  Fourteen Pastors and twenty-six Associate Pastors have served at Holy Savior.  In addition to the large church, rectory, school, convent and gymnasium, the parish has a cemetery which is over 100 years old.  For a more detailed history of Holy Savior Parish, click here.

Our Mission Statement

"We of Holy Savior Church are a faith community of joyful disciples of the Lord.  We are also an evangelizing community seeking to spread the word of the Lord according to Roman Catholic tradition.  Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we gather as a community to provide support to each other through liturgy, service, instruction and counseling so that all may come to human and Christian maturity and ultimately to eternal life."

"Each one of you has received a special grace, so, like good stewards responsible for all these different graces of God, put yourselves at the service of others." (1Peter 4:9-10)
